A field trip was organized for the students of class 1 to ‘Hathisingh Ni Wadi and Siddhi Sayed Ni Jhali’ on 23^rd February, 2023 as part of the POI unit, “My City- Ahmedabad”. The purpose of the visit was to know more about the famous places of Ahmedabad and to show the rich culture and the heritage of the famous architecture done in the olden times on the monuments in Ahmedabad. Hathisingh Ni Wadi is a sacred Jain place to worship. The students were amazed to see the astonishing architecture of the temple. They also visited a museum where miniature models of famous Jain temples were displayed with paintings of information and pictures regarding Jainism.

The Sidi Sayed Mosque is famous for its exquisite jali windows, depicting the intricate intertwining branches of the ‘tree of life’ that is best seen from the road that runs along the back of the mosque. Its marvellously carved windows or jalis fascinated the students. They enjoyed a lot and had a wonderful day.
