Vasant Panchami Celebration - 2024

On 14th February, 2024, Vasant Panchami was celebrated in JGIS. On this day we worship Maa Saraswati, the goddess of learning to invoke her blessings on all of us.

 Aarti was done by the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, Head – HR & Administration, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager-Parent Relations Officer, Ms. Rema Nair, all the staff members and students.  Later Prasad was distributed.

Republic Day - 2024

JG International School celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India with a series of impactful events. The occasion began with a warm welcome from the Principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, setting the tone for the patriotic fervor that followed. The national flag was unfurled by Dr. M P Chandran, Chairman of the Asia Charitable Trust, as students of classes VI to XII along with the attendees stood in unity, echoing the National Anthem. A soul-stirring patriotic song resonated through the air, invoking a sense of pride and gratitude followed by mesmerizing dance performances.

Fete Fiesta – 2024

Life is about celebrations, vibrancy and cherishing those joyous moments that create everlasting memories; memories that help calm the mind, bring bliss to one’s existence and create a sense of happiness that otherwise eludes us in this mad rush of going through time lines and schedules.

Blessing Ceremony – 2024

The ‘Blessing Ceremony’ for the students of classes X - ICSE and XII - ISC, X - IGCSE, AS, A Level and IBDP II was held on 17th January, 2024. The ceremony began with a prayer song sung by the students of class V which was followed by speeches from the coordinators of various sections to motivate the students and bless them. The ceremony ended with the Principal and the Chairman’s speech that inspired and guided the students to do their best in the Board Examination.

School Garba – 2023

JG International School celebrated Navratri festival by organizing Garba night on 21st October, 2023. The enthralling event began by offering prayers to the Goddess Shakti followed by a brief introduction about the significance of the festival ‘Navratri’. The event proceeded and Aarti was performed by our Honorable chairman, Dr. M P Chandran, the trustees, managing committee members and other dignitaries.

Grandparents’ Day – 2023

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love.

To shower love and respect towards the grandparents, The Preprimary celebrated Grandparents Day on 27th September, 2023.

A Photo Booth was put up in the auditorium. Grandparents had lovely time, getting clicked and creating memories.

Children welcomed the grandparents with tikka on their forehead and performed their aarti.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration - 2023

Students of JG International school celebrated ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ with great pomp and festivity on 18th September, 2023. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav. A melodious song was sung in group praising the existence of Lord Ganesha. The students performed an obeisance dance on the most exuberant music and in colourful attire. The whole atmosphere was charged with festivity.

Teachers’ Day – 2023

It was the most awaited day for the students of JGIS to celebrate Teachers’ Day which marks the birth of the great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The celebration began with the students wishing their teachers and seeking their blessings to excel in their lives. They presented different tags to all the teachers and admin staff to express their gratitude towards them and make their day special. Cultural programs were organized by the students who had put in lot of efforts to make the show a grand success.

Onam Celebration – 2023

Onam, the vibrant and culturally rich festival of Kerala, is one of the most significant and eagerly awaited celebrations in JG International School which was celebrated on 28th August, 2023. It is a time of immense joy and depicts classical example of unity amongst diversity. Onam is a harvest festival and a tribute to the mythical King Mahabali, who is believed to return to Kerala during this time. The festival showcases a blend of cultural and artistic traditions, making it a unique and unforgettable experience for teachers and students.

Independence Day – 2023

JG International School celebrated the 77th Independence Day of  India with a series of impactful events. The occasion began with a warm welcome from the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, setting the tone for the patriotic fervor that followed. The national flag was hoisted by Dr. M P Chandran, Chairman of the Asia Charitable Trust, as students of class VI to XII along with the attendees stood in unity, echoing the national anthem.

School Birthday - 2023

JG International School celebrated its 19th birthday on Wednesday, 21st June, 2023. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by the JG Anthem and later, the school choir presented a melodious song.

JGIS believes that attendance is important and every day being at school matters a lot. To that end, students who achieved 100% attendance were conferred with awards. This year a teacher also was appreciated and awarded for her 100% attendance and dedication towards her work.

Farewell (Class-XII) – 2023

On 29th March, 2023, the school organized a farewell party for Batch 2022-23, which was a blend of mixed emotions. The event was held at 5:00 p.m. and was based on the theme of purple, pink, and silver, magnificently chosen by the XI Graders.

The party began with the presentation of corsages and boutonnieres to the seniors at the entrance by the XI Graders. The seniors were then presented with citations as a parting token of love from the school.

Republic Day – 2023

JG International School celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day, on 26th January, 2023 with immense patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma. The Chairman, Dr. M.P. Chandran unfurled the National Flag, followed by the dignitaries joining in for the National Anthem. Students of classes VI and VII presented a melodious group song followed by two beautifully choreographed group dance presented by the students of classes VI, VII and VIII.
