JG International School celebrated Annual Sports Day on Friday, 10th January 2025, igniting spirits of teamwork and resilience! The Opening Ceremony kicked off with the flag hoisting by Chairman, Dr. M.P. Chandran.
The Chairman declared the Sports Day Open and the Sports Coordinator, Mr. Kuldeep Gadhavi, escorted him to light the ceremonial torch, followed by symbolic release of the colorful balloons, representing each house.
The farmyard is a delightful scene, with green fields and animals playing. Chickens cluck, and cows moo loud, while pigs roll happily, round and proud. Tractors rumble, kids run free, laughing under the old oak tree. Farmyard is so full of cheer and a place of joy year after year.
Toys and games, magic in small things, where innocence and joy take wings. A symphony of laughter brightly spun, forever young! On that note, the Sports Festival of classes Nursery to II was held on 17th February, 2024. The theme this year for JGIS Sports Festival was ‘Toys, Tumble & Triumph’. Chairman Dr. M P Chandran, Principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, parents, and staff members attended the event. It was a delight to see the props of every race that were eye-catching, and children completed each race with enthusiasm and perseverance.
On the crisp morning of 6th January, 2024, laughter and excitement filled the air at JG International School Ground as students, teachers, and esteemed guests gathered for a day of camaraderie and athletic prowess. The event was graced by the warm presence of our beloved Chairman, Dr. M P Chandran, the ever-inspiring Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, and Ms. Rema Nair, Manager of Parent Relations and Academics.
For ages, sports have been viewed as a way to stay healthy and fit, but it goes beyond that. Now a days, sports is essential for students' overall growth and development. Playing various sports helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges.
JGIS hosted the NWR competition from 1st August to 6th August, 2022 where reputed ISC schools participated. Students from Class VI to XII participated in Under 14, under 17 and under 19 categories.
Under 14 category was held between 1st and 2nd of August, 2022. Nine schools from NWR (North West region) took part for the championship. During the competition selections also took place for the National team. In the finals, Shri Ram School – Aravali (Delhi) defeated Shri Ram School Moulsari (Delhi).

JG International School organized their Annual Sports Day on 4th January, 2020 with great enthusiasm and excitement. Around 300 students from class III to XII participated in various races like 50mtrs flat race, 100mtrs, 200mtrs and relay for the final day events. The highlight of the day was the School Relay and teachers’ games. The Executive Director, Mr. M.P. Chandran, Principal, Dr.Kavita Sharma and the Parents were invited to witness the event and cheer the children.
Sports Day for Pre-primary to class II was held on Saturday the 16th of February 2019 in the school grounds. All the races were designed according to the theme “Fun At Farm”. The event began with a drill dance. Various elements of a farm – sowing, watering, feeding the animals added variety to the races displaying co-ordination and gross motor skills of the students. Finally it was time for parents and grandparents to show their athletic skills through a variety of races arranged for them.

The Opening Ceremony of the eleventh JG Cup Football Tournament 2018 was organised by JGIS on 27th December, 2018. This mega event spanning 5 days had 35 teams participating and competing under two categories : inter school boys and inter school open boys from all over Gujarat. The Chief Guest of the evening was none other than our Chairman, Shri John Geevargese. The occasion was graced by Executive Director, Mr. M. P. Chandran who is also the Chairperson, Organising Committee of JG Cup Football Tournament, our Principal, Ms.
The Closing Ceremony of the 10th JG Cup football tournament was held on 30th December 2017. This year we had hosted 24 teams from all over Gujarat in both the Under 14 and Open categories. The final matches of both the categories were held on 30th December and were witnessed by the dignitaries who later gave away the medals, prize money and Trophies to the winners. In both the categories, the Best Goal Keeper and The Best Player received a trophy, a certificate and a prize money 1000 rupees.
The Opening Ceremony of the tenth JG Cup Football Tournament 2017 was organized by JGIS on 26th December, 2017. This mega event spanning 5 days had 24 teams participating and competing under two categories under 14 inter school for boys and inter school open category for boys from all over Gujarat.
