Workshop for Students, “Right Moves” - 2022

On this day, our Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma kick-started the first of many workshops to come, to help us find our place in today’s world. This session outlined how we can learn to make the “Right Moves” by understanding the concept of choices. All attendees, the students of class XII, found this workshop to be very fitting to our current position in life- a pivotal point where teenagers find everything changing around them, and are exposed to a completely different side of the world we live in.

Theory of Knowledge (ToK) IBDP Batch 2021-23

The IBDP students of JG International School held their Theory of Knowledge (ToK) Exhibition on 14th July 2022 in JG auditorium, JG Campus of Excellence. Many schools, colleges’  faculty members and students  attended this Exhibition and were impressed by the kind of discussions and deliberations that took place.  The ToK course provides an opportunity to explore and reflect the process of knowing. The TOK exhibition explores how ToK manifests in the real world.

Workshop on Netwoking & Cyber Security for IBDP I & II - 2018

Alumni Shivam Trivedi, pursuing his graduation in Purdue University gave a guest lecture about Networking and the working of the Internet to the ITGS students of IBDP I and IBDP II. He colloquially explained Network Management, Internet Security and Network Infrastructure and the Physical Layers of Networking. He was accompanied by Ms. Lauren Featherstun who also is a fellow student at Purdue University and also the head of the Network Security Student Club.

 

Session on Self-defence - 2017

Self-defence has become an important tool for one’s protection. It is time that each women becomes vigilant and totally aware of the surroundings. Realising the need of the hour JG International School took the initiative of organizing a training in self-defence for girls of classes IX to XII. The session was conducted by  Mr Dipesh, third dan, a karate expert and his team.

Safety Awareness Session for Students - 2017

An interactive session on “ Be safe – stay safe ” was conducted  for classes V to XII in various sessions with an objective to make children aware about basic skills to prevent and overcome unsafe situations. A session on “ Good touch and bad touch ” was conducted for classes I to IV to give them an insight on the topic and to guide them that children should share such concerns with their parents.

Teaching Learning Workshop for Parents of Pre-Primary Section - 2017

The Teaching Learning Practices Workshop for the Parents of Pre-Primary Section was held on 29th July, 2017 by the Principal, Coordinator and the teachers of Pre Primary section in the school auditorium. Through a series of hands on activities parents learnt about the teaching and learning practices followed in the Pre-Primary section. This workshop also shed light on the various teaching aids used in the class to strengthen the concepts. Parents gave positive feedback and expressed desire for more such sessions.

Workshop on Team Building - 2017

Our Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma conducted a workshop on Team Building for the Administrative and Academic staff members of JGIS on 25th July, 2017. The highlight of the workshop was fun activities that helped the teachers to see each other in a different light and that too in a different setting. The workshop that aimed at improving collaboration among team members revolved around building skills like communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Teaching Learning Workshop for Parents of Classes I & II - 2017

An engaging and informative workshop for parents of classes I & II was organized on 22nd July, 2017 by the Principal and a team of teachers of classes I and II in the school auditorium. Through a series of hands on activities parents learnt about the teaching and learning practices followed in the Holding section.This workshop also shed light on the various teaching aids used in the class to strengthen the concepts and how some of it can be easily designed at home. Parents gave positive feedback and expressed desire for more such sessions.

Teachers Training Workshop by Mr. Kulkarni - 2017

The workshop was about how to enrich ourselves by encouraging /motivating our buddies and change ourselves in positive way according to situations. It was about how to trust others. “We cannot trust any new person is a belief not a fact”. A brief discussion was held on “to be natural as much as possible than to be normal” depending on situations. The centering activity was very good for relaxation and peace of mind. Conscious mind has its limitations, so one should try to use subconscious mind by giving auto suggestions.
