The Closing Ceremony of the eighth JG Cup Football Tournament was organized on 30^th December, 2016. The welcome address was delivered by Master. Rohan (Class XI – ISC). The anchors of the evening were Master. Soham Nayak (A Level) and Ms. Harakh Patel (X – ICSE).

In the Under-14 (boys) category, Aakash Anil of JG International School, Ahmedabad badged ‘The Best Goal Keeper’ award while Aadya Chinubhai from St. Xaviers Loyala, Ahmedabad was declared ‘The Best Player’ of the tournament. Eklavya School bagged the Runners’ Up Trophy whereas St. Xaviers Loyola were the Champions.

In the Inter-school Invitational Open Category (boys), Jash Patel of JG International School and Parthiv Patel of Anand Nikitan, Shilaj were declared ‘The Best Goal Keeper’ and ‘The Best Player’ of the tournament. St. Xaviers Gandhinagar won the Runners Up Trophy and Anand Nikitan, Shilaj was declared the Champion team.

In both the categories, the Best Goal Keeper and The Best Player received a trophy, a certificate and a prize money 1000 rupees. The Runners Up team was awarded a trophy, medals, certificates and prize money 5000 rupees. The Champion Team won a trophy, medals, certificates and a prize money 10,000 rupees.
