JGIS celebrated its 17th Annual Day on 23^rd December, 2022 with pomp and show. Dr. Hitesh Patel (a JGIS parent) was the Chief Guest of the evening.  The occasion was graced by the Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust, Dr. M. P. Chandran, Secretary, ACT, Mr. Joy Jose, Treasurer, ACT, Mr. KLN Sastry, President, ASIA, Mr. TVS Ram, Secretary, ASIA, Mr. VD. Prabhakaran, the Trustees, Mr.Venugopal Rao, Mr. Alex Lukose and Mr. Jose Mathew.

The function began with the welcome address and the lighting of the lamp followed by the rendition of JG Anthem, introduction of the Chief Guest as well and the presentation of the Annual report.

The highlight of the formal function was the felicitation of those young achievers who made the school proud by making a mark in academics and sports. Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, teachers and other staff members, who completed ten years of service, were honoured for their dedicated service.

Shantanu Sarda of A level was declared ‘The Student of the Year’. ‘The Chairman’s Award for the best teacher’ for outstanding contribution to school went to Ms. Rajitha Nair, the Co ordinator of ICSE. The formal session came to an end with the release of the 14^th issue of the creative journal ‘About Us’.

The theme of the cultural programme was ‘Gratitude- The Gateway to Abundance’, which paid a tribute to the almighty, nature, parents and the people of various fields for their invaluable contributions.  It was a soulful treat put together in the form of dance numbers and a play. The programme came to an end with a fashion show by the students of Class XII and a culmination song, which elicited a thunderous applause from the audience.
