Workshop on Robotics - 2024

Robotics is a great educational tool for children, as it can help them develop a wide range of skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.

Keeping this in view, JG International School had organized a robotics workshop for grade IX students, which was conducted by Mr. John Park from South Korea (MODI by Luxrobo - STEM Education) on Monday, 7th October 2024. He introduced students to the exciting world of robotics through hands-on activities using the MODI Kit, a modular robotics system. The workshop covered essential topics, including the fundamentals of robotics, the components of the MODI Kit (such as sensor and motor modules), and basic block-based programming.

John Park guided students in building and programming their own robotic cars, challenging them to complete tasks like navigating obstacles or following a line. The simplicity of the MODI Kit allowed students to explore robotics creatively without the complexity of traditional systems. The workshop concluded with a discussion on the future of robotics, leaving students inspired and eager to delve deeper into the subject. Overall, the workshop was a great success, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
