Visit to Shreyas Folk Museum (Class-Jr. KG) – 2023
Field trip enhances critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a few concepts from a different perspective. On that note, students of Jr. KG Rose, Sunflower & Lily visited Shreyas Museum of Toys & Folk, on 7th July, 2023 during school hours.
Toys make learning enjoyable and fun, increasing child’s motivation and engagement with educational activities. This positive association with learning can foster a lifelong love for learning and exploration. Being culturally aware helps children acknowledge worldviews and heritage. They get a better understanding of the differences in the customs and beliefs of others. Exploring and educating with different culture helped them understand people and places around us.
There were two parts of the museum. They saw various storage pots (Indian and Chinese), different variety of mats, old–fashioned lamp holders, the culture of Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch, jewelry, utensils, furniture, nut cutter, knives, piggy bank, baby cot, pulling toy cars, variety of animals, birds made of clay and stones, wonderful puppets (made up of wood), an umbrella, the characters of Ramayan, different masks, sculptures, the skeleton of an elephant and human being etc. to name a few.
This trip enhanced and enriched the learning of the students.
