Theory of Knowledge (ToK) IBDP Batch 2021-23
The IBDP students of JG International School held their Theory of Knowledge (ToK) Exhibition on 14th July 2022 in JG auditorium, JG Campus of Excellence. Many schools, colleges’ faculty members and students attended this Exhibition and were impressed by the kind of discussions and deliberations that took place. The ToK course provides an opportunity to explore and reflect the process of knowing. The TOK exhibition explores how ToK manifests in the real world. The students created individual exhibition comprising three objects, exploring myriad of knowledge questions ranging from role of experts in accumulation of knowledge to distinction between opinions and beliefs. The students were appreciated by one and all for their clarity of thought, presentation and confidence.
The ToK Exhibition is the internal assessment component of ToK that provides an opportunity to the students to reflect on the nature, scope and limitations of knowledge and the process of knowing. It not only helps them in acquiring new knowledge but on helping students to reflect on, and put into perspective, what they already know. The students explored knowledge questions on the lines of culture, religion, bias, role of experts and other concepts that affect us as knowers. The students gave a valuable insight and perspective to the audience and made them, as knowers, reflect too.
