Janmashtami Celebration - 2022
As it is well said, “The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals.”
India is a festival-rich nation. In India, numerous festivals are observed here. It seems like there is a festival every single week. Of all the festivals, Krishna Janmashtami is one of the few with a very high level of significance and importance.
The celebration commemorates the birth of Lord Krishna, who is thought to be Lord Vishnu's eighth incarnation. The Janmashtami festival is observed on Ashtami of the dark fortnight, which occurs in the month of Bhadrapada, according to the Hindu calendar (August-September).
At JGIS, Janmashtami was celebrated with the same zeal and enthusiasm on 18th August, 2022. The air in the auditorium was filled with famous Bhajans of Lord Krishna and everyone was absorbed in Krishna bhakti. The dance performance by the students was mesmerising. No festival is complete without showing gratitude to the almighty. Finally, Aarti was performed by our Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, followed by all the staff members and the students offering their gratitude with flowers and seeking blessings from Lord Krishna.
“May your life be filled with love, happiness, laughter, and Krishna’s blessings. Happy Janmashtami!”
