Inter-House English Declamation Competition (Classes V-VIII)
The online Inter-house English Declamation Competition for classes V to VIII was held on 7th August, 2020. The event was live streamed and presided over by the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma. The judges for the event were Ms. Medha Agarwal, an author, Ms. Harita Patel who was a freelance journalist with Times of India and is currently an empanelled trainer with Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat and Ms. Shivani Shah, a freelance consultant dedicated towards working and uplifting the lives of students through designing life skill programmes that compliments academic efforts.
The event showcased talented and confident speakers at their best who delivered famous speeches by popular personalities like Jawaharlal Nehru, Martin Luther King, APJ Abdul Kalam and other eminent personalities.
The competition was held in two categories Junior and Senior. The Junior category comprised students of classes V and VI and the Senior category comprised students of classes VII and VIII. Students were judged on the following criteria: Memorization, content, voice Modulation, pronunciation and general impression.
In the Junior category the First position was won by Angaj Adhikari(Amartya Sen house) , Second position was bagged by Arav Bharadia(Jagdishchandra Bose house) and Third position went to Mirav khabiya(Amartya Sen house).
In the Senior category Gurvi Patel(Amartya Sen house) was at the First Position, Second position went to Preyas Patel(Chandrashekhar house) and Third position was bagged by Rudraksh Paitandi (Rabindranath Tagore house).
The competition was a success and was well appreciated by the judges and the audience.
