Inter House English Debate Competition - 2024
An Inter-House English Debate Competition was organized for the students of Grades IX to XII centered on the theme “AI IS A THREAT TO EMPLOYMENT” on 13th September, 2024. The event provided a platform for the students to demonstrate their debating skills and their ability to articulate their thoughts and opinions effectively.
The competition featured two participants from each House, one speaking in favor of the motion and the other against it. All the speakers put forth strong and well-grounded arguments to prove their points. There was a session of questions and counter-questions wherein very logical questions were raised. The speakers answered well, backed with examples. The distinguished judging panel comprised of Ms. Yasmin M Raval and Mr. Venugopal R Menon. The judges encouraged the students to participate in such competitions and enhance their oratory skills.
The results were as follows:-
The Best Speaker Certificate was conferred upon Daivya D Parmar of Rabindranath Tagore House (Grade IX-ICSE), whose articulate presentation and insightful arguments set him apart. The second position was secured by Misri J Jhala of Rabindranath Tagore (Grade IX-ICSE) and the third position by Abishek S Nekkanti of Chandrashekhar House (Grade XII-ISC).
The competition culminated with Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma sharing her valuable feedback and suggestions. The event ended with the National Anthem.
