Independence Day - 2022
The Independence Day of India is celebrated religiously throughout the country on the 15th of August every year. It holds tremendous ground in the list of national days since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. It was on 15 th August, 1947, that India was declared independent from British colonialism, and the reins of control were handed over to the leaders of the country.
The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and patriotic fervour in JG International School. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal Dr Kavita Sharma followed by the hoisting of our pride, the tricolour.The cultural progrmmme began with a patriotic medley of songs followed by a speech given by the head girl Ms Prisha Chanderiya. The patriotic spirit was unleashed by the portrayal of the unsung heroes of our freedom struggle through a play ‘Azadi ke Matwale’.
The Chairman of Asia Charitable Trust, Dr. M P Chandran addressed the gathering. The event was graced by the presence of Secretary ASIA Charitable trust Mr Joy Jose, Treasurer Mr K L N Sastry, President ASIA Mr T V S Ram , Secretary ASIA Mr V D Prabhakaran other trustees and members of the Managing Committee, Principals of schools & colleges, distinguished guests and teachers.
