Holding Section Sports Day Celebration – 2023
For ages, sports have been viewed as a way to stay healthy and fit, but it goes beyond that. Now a days, sports is essential for students' overall growth and development. Playing various sports helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges.
It is a day when students are out of the classrooms to jump and run around, just celebrating. It is a day for red faces and perspiration where t-shirts get soaked and pants get muddy. School sports day is a day of tumbles and rumbles, cheering and smiling faces.
On that note, Sports Festival of the Holding Section was held on 11th February, 2023 at JGIS school playground. The theme this year for JGIS Sports Fiesta, was ‘Nature’. The Chairman Dr. M. P. Chandran, Principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, parents and staff members attended the event. It was a delight to see races like Mischievous Monkeys, Hungry Birds, Dancing Sunflowers and Waddling Ducks and 25 such other races. The props of every race were eye catching and children completed each race with enthusiasm and perseverance. It was a day full of enthusiasm.
