Grandparents' Day - 2022
In this modern age of nuclearization of families, grandparents provide much needed support, guidance, and wisdom. Grandparents are our heritage and an important part of our family. There exists an intimate bond of attachment between grandparents and grandchildren.
To celebrate this spirit JGIS hosted “Grandparents’ Day” for classes I- IV on 14th September, 2022. It was a special day for all those who attended the programme and for us, it gave us a chance to interact with an age group that is most often overlooked. The event started by welcoming the grandparents with English and Hindi songs. As a part of this celebration “Just a Minute” was organized to give a platform to their creative side. It was a pleasure for the students to see their grandparents express themselves in myriad colors with great happiness. Games were also organized which took them down their memory lane. Their twinkling eyes and gratitude made the event a grand success.
