The deserving young talents of JG International School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence on the fine morning of 30th June, 2022. The investiture ceremony, thus, marked the inaugural of the senior student council for the academic session 2022-23; however, owing to the present Covid situation, the ceremony was held online with only Class XII being the audience in the auditorium. The programme began with the welcoming of the guests, the Chairman, Dr. M. P. Chandran, Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, Manager HR and Admin, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager, Parent Relation and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. The importance of Investiture ceremony was read out. This year too, we have new executive committee comprising students of class XII. They will support and assist the students’ council in day-to-day affairs. With the vigorous beats of the drums, the new council members marched in procession to take up their new responsibilities. They stood upright with their heads held high and their hearts in humility. The Captains, Vice captains and the Prefects of all the houses including the Executive Committee members, the Sports Captain, the Sports Vice-Captain, the Head Girl and the Head Boy were conferred their badges by the esteemed guests.

The Chairman, Dr. M. P. Chandran administered the oath of office and the members of the council pledged to adhere to the values and principles upheld by the school. The House Mothers were called upon to receive the house flags. The Chairman, Dr. M. P. Chandran declared the Inter-house Competition(s) open for the year 2022-23. He blessed the newly appointed council members, motivated them to receive the responsibility, with a pledge to preserve the pride of school and serve the nation and the world at large. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
