Visit to Kankaria Zoo (Class-Nursery) – 2023
The toddlers of Nursery went to Kankaria Zoo on 15th September, 2023 to see wildlife, a whole new world of wonder. The animals need not be large or exotic: even common wild creatures such as elephants, deer and birds bring a thrill to children. Seeing wild animals in nature can become a child’s treasured memory. Wild animals have certain qualities that make them mysterious and exciting to children. Wild animals have to find their own food and they eat “weird things” like bugs and worms. They have special powers like flying, digging and climbing (which children often fantasize about), and the animals themselves choose when and where to be seen by children, not the other way around.
There are millions of animal species on Earth, therefore it is important to be able to identify them and understand about their habitats and characteristics so that we can coexist with them. With the theme of Wild animals going on in the class, children visited Kankaria Zoo for better understanding.
They saw wild animals like elephants, tiger, lion, jackal, bears etc. Sea animals and reptiles like crocodile, rhinoceros, tortoise and water snakes were also seen. They saw and understood their characteristics and body parts better.
Children enjoyed the trip, singing songs and learning with fun.
