JGMUN 4th Edition - 2023
The day finally began with the registration followed by the opening ceremony. Our own principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, was the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony along with Head- Administration & HR, Ms. Rekha Anil, and Manager Parent Relations and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. The ceremony started with lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer song and prayer dance which was presented by our school choir and our own students (Angel and group) respectively. Our principal delivered the welcome speech which was followed by a dance performance by Tani Acharya, student of JGIS. At the end Secretary General, Ms. Shivangi Shah addressed the gathering and declared the conference open.
After opening ceremony students dispersed for the breakfast and lobbying. Committee sessions started at 9:45 a.m. and went on till 1:00 p.m. Post lunch sessions started at 1:45 p.m. and went on till 3:30 p.m. Post high tea sessions started at 4:00 p.m. and went on till 5:30 p.m.
As the committee sessions went on, an amazing team of organizing committee ensured that everything went as per the plan and there were no inconveniences caused; in order to verify whether or not there were any problems from our end, a feedback session was taken in each committee.
After the success of the first day of the conference, we were all eagerly awaiting the second. In the hope of maintaining the level of satisfaction the delegates and chairs feel, the OC members were constantly on their toes.
The committee sessions for Day 2 started at 9:00 a.m. and went on till 1:00 p.m. Post lunch sessions started at 1:45 p.m. and went on till 3:30 p.m. Closing ceremony started at 5:00 p.m. Chairs of various committees gave their feedback and presented the awards. The Chief Guest of the evening, our principal Dr. Kavita Sharma presented the largest school delegation award to ASIA school.
Head Girl of JGIS, Miss. Norine Mehta delivered the vote of Thanks. Secretary General, Ms. Shivangi Shah delivered her closing remarks and declared the conference closed.
