World Book Day Celebration - 2026
Celebrating the magic of books!
JGIS celebrated World Book Day on Friday, 24th April, 2026 with an engaging and fun-filled literary quiz, conducted by our librarians, Ms. Archana Chaurasia and Ms. Jalpa Shah.
Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of exciting rounds that tested their knowledge of genres, book titles and their cinematic adaptations. The quiz was thoughtfully divided into two categories:
Junior Category (Classes I – VI)
- One Minute Challenge – Name as many as, based on the given clues
- Guess the Story – Identify the story based on clues
- Guess the Author and Build the Blocks and
- Book Title Antakshari
Senior Category (Classes VII – XII)
- One Minute Challenge – Name as many as, based on the given clues
- Who Am I? – Guess the Book Cover
- Guess the Author and Build the Blocks
- Book Title Antakshari
Each round was met with great enthusiasm and thoughtful participation, keeping both contestants and the audience thoroughly engaged. The event beautifully blended learning with entertainment, making it an enriching experience for all.
The celebration concluded with a token of appreciation for our voracious readers, while regular tracking encourages consistent reading and gradually transforms it into a lifelong habit.
