The English Poem Recitation Competition was held on 12^th July 2024. The students of classes III to VIII were the participants as well as audience for the competition. For the competition, the participants were divided into two categories-

Group A- Classes III, IV and V

Group B- Classes VI, VII and VIII

Six students were selected from each house- Three students from group A while the other three from group B category. There were twenty four participants in all.

The judges for the competition were Ms. Neelam Rathi and Ms. Shilpa Thakkar. The event was graced by the presence of Principal ma’am. All the participants were judged based on the following criteria:

1. Selection of the poem
2. Pronunciation
3. Memory and confidence
4. Voice Modulation and Articulation
5. Clarity
6. General Impression

The competition culminated with the judges sharing their valuable suggestions and appreciating the efforts of the participants.

In category A, the First position was secured by Aanya Shah of class V

The Second position was secured by Yash Harisinghani of class IV                                            

The third position was shared by four participants Jisha Hirani of class III, Hridhaan Navlani of class III, Kayana Panchal of class III and Param Shah of class IV.

In category B, the First position was secured by Ishita Jain of class VIII

The Second position was secured by Devdutta Bhattacharya of class VI and Rianna Darji of class VI.

The Third position was secured by Navisha Mehta of class VIII.

The scorers of the competition Ms. Shannon Pais and Ms. Nishita Popat were applauded by the audience. The Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma gave her valuable feedback and suggestions. The event ended with the national anthem.
