Visit to Shreyas Folk Museum (Class-Sr. KG) – 2023
Visiting a post office, fire station, a park, a grocery store, are excellent ways for students to learn about the world beyond their homes and families. Children learn by playing, and toys are the instruments that allow them to discover the world they live in. And this is precisely why they interact with their surroundings through toys.
Children of Sr. KG Marigold, Jasmine and Lotus visited The Shreyas Toys and Folk Museum, located at Shreyas Foundation, on 6th July, 2023 during school hours. They saw wonderful puppets, skeleton of a human being and an elephant, different types of utensils, colorful costumes, jewelry, wooden & clay toys and musical instruments used by various states, and countries etc. They also got a clearer understanding of different cultures of different eras.
It was a fun filled trip and children were amazed to see so many different kinds of sculptures and toys. This visit also helped them inculcate various life skills as socializing with peers, being responsible etc.
