All experts agree: children learn by playing and toys are the instruments that allow them to discover the world they live in. And this is precisely why they interact with their surroundings through toys. Plus toys give them plenty of enjoyment and happiness, both of which help build self esteem.
3rd August, 2018 was an exciting day for the students of JGIS. They got a surprise when their favourite character from the series of Geronimo Stilton visited the school to celebrate friendship day with them. This was an initiative taken by Scholastic and supported by the school to enhance reading habit in students. He talked about the importance of reading as it gives wings to their imagination and sparkle their creativity. Many new books were introduced and forms were given to the students.
The English Declamation Competition was held on the 3rd of August, 2018. The event showcased talented and confident speakers at their best who delivered famous speeches by popular personalities like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sunder Pichai and other eminent personalities.
A hero is someone who can be looked up to for his actions. Children of Grade I Venus showcased a class presentation on the topic.
On 31-07-18 as a part of the ongoing project ‘Let’s Know Our Constitution’, the Team Humanities of JGIS presented the first two Rights of Fundamental Rights i.e. Right to Equality and Right to Freedom.

This famous quote by Swami Vivekananda inspired Grade IV Diamond to showcase the class presentation on “FEAR”. We all are born with fear or acquire fear with some unfortunate experiences. Students of class IV displayed an insight of fear that we have in common and how effortlessly we can eradicate it from our lives.
25th July, 2018 was an awaited day for the students of Grade III as they were going to visit Mongiland- the Monginis Cake factory to aquaint them to the process of baking and chocolate making and connect them to the novel “ Charlie and the chocolate factory” which they are reading.

The students of Grade XII Science, AS level, A Level and IBDPI and IBDP II went to Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) on 19th July 2018. The trip was organized so that their learning inside the classroom could be extended and they would get clear idea of how power is generated and supplied for various uses. They also got to see and understand the function of the Step- Up transformer and the switching circuit at the power station.
Students of Sr. Kg (Marigold and Jasmine) visited the British Council Library, located at Vastrapur area on 13th July, 2018 during school hours. Ms. Mili had planned a story that revolved around Peppa Pig through audio visual aid and also showed the students story books and CDs. The main purpose of the visit was to educate the students about library, its uses and the discipline to be maintained in the library.
Students of grade 1 Venus went to a field trip to an anganwadi of Samvedna Ngo (Thaltej) on 9th July 2018 as a part of their class presentation. Children spent time with the children of anganwadi for developing their critical thinking and empathy in the community. They did some craft and clay activities. They also distributed the things with children anganwadi centre.
TEDX YOUTH@JGIS an independently organized TED event, was a half-day conference which provided a platform to the leading thinkers, speakers and innovators to reach out and inspire the youth with their talks that were idea-focused to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoked conversations that mattered.

The Investiture Ceremony of JG International School for the academic session 2018-2019 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony at the school auditorium. It was conducted with the highest degree of earnestness and passion. The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child centric approach will help the students to become responsible citizens.
JG international school celebrated its 14th birthday on Thursday, 21st June, 2018. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by the JG Anthem. The Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma gave a welcome address that was followed by a song and a dance number performed by the students.
