Students of IX and X went to Kullu Manali from 17th September to 23rd September, 2018. The tour was organized by Positive Seven. There were 38 students, 4 staff members from JG international school and 3 Escorts from Positive Seven. We started on 17th evening and reached Manali on 19th Morning.
‘Moms and Dads at School’ of Pre Primary section was held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in the school auditorium. The timings were from 9.00am to 12.30 pm. The event was divided into 3 parts. The first part, “The Parenting Workshop” was taken by the Principal , Ms. Kavita Sharma and the second part was “ Teaching and Learning Practices” conducted by teachers of Nursery, Jr.KG and Sr.KG, and towards the end team building games were played with the parents.
The Inter house Hindi Declamation Competition for Juniors and Seniors was held on 14th September, 2018.
The Judges for the competition were Ms. Minal Nayak and Ms. Deepti Upadhayay and Ms. Archana Chaurasia in Junior and Senior category. There were 8 participants in each category.
Children of Sr.KG visited Khoj museum situated at Naranpura on Wednesday,12/09/2018.It was related to their theme ‘Our Universe’ and their class activity of creating and having fun with bubbles.
Khoj is the first dynamic children’s museum in India. It connects science, design & innovation by means of participatory displays. Unlike a regular museum where visitors don’t touch the display, at Khoj children are encouraged to participate and play with the displayed activities.
On 7th September, we had the Inter House Quiz competition in the school auditorium. The competition was held in two categories., i.e Seniors and Juniors.
The Junior Quiz was Conducted by Ms Ruma Mitra. AS house team was the winner. The second position was jointly secured by RT House and CS House.
The Senior Quiz was conducted by Ms Kavita Rajesh. The students of the CS House secured the first position. The second position was bagged by RT House, followed by AS House in the third position.
Children learn by playing, and toys are the instruments that allow them to discover the world they live in. And this is precisely what they interact with their surroundings through toys. Additionally, toys provide plenty of enjoyment and happiness, both of which help build their self- esteem.

The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in the school auditorium on Friday, August 31. A special assembly was conducted for classes I to VIII. The significance of the festival was explained to the children and a beautiful dance presentation by our students transformed the ambience of the auditorium into a divine arena. The programme came to a conclusion with the Aarti of Lord Krishna followed by distribution of Prasad to all the students.
JGIS organized ‘One Act Play’ Inter House Competition on 31st August 2018. All the four houses of the school presented English One act plays with subtle content. The acting skills of the students generated a thunderous applause from the audience.

Eight US Universities visited JG International School on 29th August, 2018 and interacted with the students of grades IX to XII. The objective behind their visit was to give important information and guidance to the students for their future education abroad. The universities that visited our school were :
One of its kind inter-house Just a minute competition was held in JGIS campus on 24-08-18, Friday. It was the first time when participants were allowed to do any act of their choice instead of speech or memory test. The competition was for classes 5th – 12th. There were 32 participants in total. 16 in junior and 16 in senior category. Rules for the competition were: each participant had one minute to perform and any second exceeding one minute was awarded 0.25 negative marks. Judges for the competition were Ms. Deepa Arora, Ms. Priyal Kapuriya, Mr.

No one wants to become a cheater, a liar, or even worse... And yet, we fail to understand the importance of honesty, because we think we will just grow up to be good people. But, like everything good in life, it requires hard work and dedication.
The students of grade III Water showcased the journey of dishonesty to honesty in the form of a Class Presentation.
JG International School celebrated Independence Day with great pomp on 15th August, 2018 creating an atmosphere of patriotism, for our nation. All the teachers and students gathered on the ground. The principal gave a warm welcome followed by the hoisting of our beloved ‘Tiranga’ – the symbol of the freedom by our Chairman. A cultural program was held on the theme ‘Tryst with Destiny’. At the end of the celebration, every soul who had witnessed it was moved by the story.
3rd August, 2018 was an exciting day for the students of JGIS. They got a surprise when their favourite character from the series of Geronimo Stilton visited the school to celebrate friendship day with them. This was an initiative taken by Scholastic and supported by the school to enhance reading habit in students. He talked about the importance of reading as it gives wings to their imagination and sparkle their creativity. Many new books were introduced and forms were given to the students.
