Graduation Ceremony - 2019

Graduation Ceremony for the batch 2018-19 was organized on 6th April, 2019 in the JGIS auditorium which was a revered ritual as it marks the beginning of a young adult’s foray into the real world wherein he/she dons the mantle of myriad roles and responsibilities that pave the way to become a global citizen.

 It began with Marching of the coordinators followed by the students graduating in their sections. It further proceeded with lighting of the lamp followed by JG anthem.

Graduation Ceremony - Sr.KG (2019)

The Graduation Ceremony of Sr. KG was held on Wednesday 19th March, 2019 at 10.30 am.

56 students of batch 2018-19 were graduated from Pre Primary to Primary Level. Graduation Certificates were given out to the children by the Chief Guests one by one.

The Chief Guests for the event were our very own, Head Girl- Harakh Patel, Head Boy- Harsh Gadhiya and Sports Captain- Divyesh Karelia.

Holding Section Sports Day - 2019

Sports Day for Pre-primary to class II was held on Saturday the 16th of February 2019 in the school grounds. All the races were designed according to the theme “Fun At Farm”. The event began with a drill dance. Various elements of a farm – sowing, watering, feeding the animals added variety to the races displaying co-ordination and gross motor skills of the students. Finally it was time for parents and grandparents to show their athletic skills through a variety of races arranged for them.

Lit - Fest (Class VIII)

It was the second season of Lit Fest 2018-19, on JG campus. Each of the assembly held throughout the Lit Fest highlighted literature beyond what is taught in the classroom. Lingua Café came up alive with Wax Museum and its characters, the purpose of this fest was not only to provide entertainment, but also to celebrate and emphasize the importance of writing, reading, expressing and listening beyond what is taught in classroom.

Lit - Fest ( Class I) 2019

Students of class I presented their novel “The Cat in the hat” on 12-02-19 in school auditorium, in the form of play and dance. The chief guest was Mr. Aalap Tripathi. Mr. Aalap Tripathi is a copy writer, content writer, film maker and a theatre personality. Students compared and contrasted the experiences of the characters in the story. They also learned that they should not trust any stranger in one go.

Lit - Fest (Class VII)

Grade VII throughout the year has read the novel Malgudi Days written by R. K. Narayan and on 8th February, 2019 they brought to life the stories from this novel. The chief guest was Ms. Anurita Rathore who is a senior journalist and media professional, with an experience that spans two decades. Along with her fair for writing, she is engaged with several creative initiatives in arts, literature and lifestyles. Parents of Grade VII students were specially invited to witness the amusing plays put up by the students.

Lit - Fest (Class VI) 2019

Lit Fest was conducted in JGIS from 04/02/2019 till 12/02/2019. On 7th February, Grade 6 had performed a short act of the novel ‘The Phantom Tollbooth’ by Norton Juster. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Meera Trivedi. She is a radio broadcaster and has hosted many shows with BBC Radio. All the parents of Grade 6 were invited to watch the programme. The day ended with meeting a famous personality’s spirit in the Wax Museum at the Lingua Café. And then the Chief Guest was also called to give her valuable feedback. Mrs.

Lit - Fest (Class II) 2019

Students of Grade 2 brought alive the novel “Jungle book” written by Rudyard Kipling on 6th February, 2019 as a part of LIT FEST 2019. The purpose of this festival is not only to provide entertainment, but to celebrate and emphasize the importance of writing beyond what is required in school. It also helps the students to showcase their talent so that they can avoid stage fear. Moreover, it gives equal opportunity to each and every child.

Lit - Fest (Class III) 2019

‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, a novel written by Roald Dahl ,was read by the students of grade III throughout the year. Therefore, on 5th February 2019 the novel was brought alive by the students themselves in the form of a play and dance. The Chief guest for the day was Ms. Sargam Majrawala, a textile designer by profession, turned into a baker and confectioner by passion. A special invitation was given to the parents too, to witness the show and encourage the students. 

Lit - Fest (Class IV) 2019

Students of class IV presented their novel “The Wizard of Oz” by  L. Frank Baum on 04-02-19 in the school auditorium, in the form of a play. The story was divided into three parts and thus the main characters were portrayed by the students of all the three sections. The chief guest for the day was Ms. Kusum Chopra. A woman’s point of view, empathy in examining logically, and verbal emoting characterize her writing.
