An awareness session was conducted by AMC officials on 28th July, 2023 about Malaria which was widespread in the city. The session was attended by students of class X. The officials explained about the breeding places of mosquitoes, how to monitor their surroundings to identify the breeding places and precautions to be taken to avoid building of these breeding places. They also suggested the ways to prevent mosquito bites especially for new born and pregnant women.
The Inter House Hindi Elocution Competition for two categories, category-1 consisting of students from classes VI & VII and category- 2 consisting of students from classes VIII & IX was held on 28th July, 2023. There were 8 participants in each category.
The Judges for the competition were Ms. Neeti Bhatt and Ms. Archana Chaurasia.
An Inter House Declamation Competition was organized on 21st July, 2023. The participating students were from classes VI- VIII. The judges for the event were Ms Sheeba Saji and Ms Mitisha Lalwani. This competition was held with a view to creating an opportunity for young speakers to come forward and share their ideas. A wide range of speeches were selected by the participants as part of their presentation. The students were judged on the basis of content, clear pronunciation, correct voice modulation, memory and confidence. The Principal, Dr.
JGIS organized an Inter-school Recitation Competition in English - ‘Poems Out Loud’ on 14th July, 2023 which was:
Students of class - II visited Traffic Park, Ahmedabad on 10th July, 2023 as a part of POI unit “Communication”. They explored the “Traffic Park” and were able to use their knowledge and identify the signage. They interacted with the guide of the park and gathered information related to the same. Students followed the signage and enjoyed riding the bicycles. It was a wonderful experience for students.
Children of Nursery visited the Fire Station located at Memnagar area on 7th July, 2023 during school hours.
Field trip enhances critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a few concepts from a different perspective. On that note, students of Jr. KG Rose, Sunflower & Lily visited Shreyas Museum of Toys & Folk, on 7th July, 2023 during school hours.
This report provides an overview of the recent field trip organized for the students of Class 1 to Trimandir, Adalaj on 7th July, 2023 and was attended by 65 students.
The main objective of the field trip was to provide an interactive and educational experience for the students, allowing them to explore and learn about their senses. The trip aimed to enhance their understanding of 5 senses through hands-on activities and direct observation.
The English Poem Recitation Competition was held on 7th July 2023. Various students of classes III to VIII from all the four houses took part in the competition. The participants were divided into two categories-
Group A comprising classes III, IV and V and Group B included Classes VI, VII and VIII.
The event was graced by the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma and Head- HR & Administration, Ms. Rekha Anil.
Visiting a post office, fire station, a park, a grocery store, are excellent ways for students to learn about the world beyond their homes and families. Children learn by playing, and toys are the instruments that allow them to discover the world they live in. And this is precisely why they interact with their surroundings through toys.
The Investiture Ceremony was held on 30th June, 2023 at JG International School with pomp and dignity. It was one of the momentous occasions of the school wherein the newly elected and selected members of the school’s senate were officially vested with their powers and positions. The ceremony was presided over by the Chairman, Dr. M.P. Chandran, the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma and Manager, Parent Relation and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair.

Election is an organized process through which the heads of a democratic country are elected. It gives the people the most important political right- Right to vote.
JG International School celebrated its 19th birthday on Wednesday, 21st June, 2023. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by the JG Anthem and later, the school choir presented a melodious song.
JGIS believes that attendance is important and every day being at school matters a lot. To that end, students who achieved 100% attendance were conferred with awards. This year a teacher also was appreciated and awarded for her 100% attendance and dedication towards her work.
An educational trip was organized to Serenity Botanical Garden on 19thApril, 2023 for the students of class V as a part of Science unit “Interdependence of Plants and Animals”. We were led to the garden, where we could find a variety of plants. Out of all these plants, students are sure to remember those that had odd characteristics. Students were also involved in the activity of Bird Watching which was well integrated with the Social Studies topic of “Mapping”.
