JG International School celebrated Navratri festival by organizing – ‘Shubh Navratri’ Garba night on 5^th October, 2019. The auspicious event began with offering prayers to Goddess Shakti and performing Aarti by our Honourable chairman ,  Shri. John Geevargese and Executive Director Mr. M.P.Chandran.  The trustees and other managing committee members too graced the occasion. Our Chairman ,  Shri. John Geevargese initiated a thought of minimizing the use of plastic and what steps school is taking towards this initiative. Students of IBDP-I put up a food stall as part of their CAS curriculum and the funds collected thereby will be used for charity. The event progressed with the dance performances by the students of classes V to XII showing a combination of traditional and modern Garba forms.  Students, teachers, parents and support staff of JGIS also showed glimpses of traditional moves of garba. Students of JG College of performing arts as the Judges for the event identified the talent from the enthusiastic revellers. Various prizes were given in ‘Best performance’ and ‘Best costume’ category; for holding section, junior section and senior section as well as for staff members, supporting staff and parents. There was also an award for ‘Best Couple’. The event was anchored by Farhan and Haley of class X IGCSE.
