Visit to Polo Forest- CAS Trip (Class-IBDP) – 2025
On 28th November 2025, the students of IBDP I and II from JG International School participated in a meaningful CAS experiential trip to Polo Forest. The visit provided a balanced platform for students to engage with all three CAS strands—Creativity, Activity and Service—while achieving all seven CAS learning outcomes.
Students began their day with a guided exploration of the ancient temples of Polo Forest, where they observed historical architecture and cultural stories through an inquiry-driven lens. This reflective engagement supported the Creativity strand and fulfilled CAS learning outcomes related to recognizing strengths (LO1), developing new perspectives (LO6), and considering the ethics of cultural preservation (LO7).
The trek through the forest and rope-walking activities formed the core of the Activity strand. These physically demanding sessions required students to demonstrate perseverance and commitment (LO4), take on new challenges (LO2), and work collaboratively to maintain pace and safety, fulfilling teamwork objectives (LO5). Students also applied planning and organizational skills during different segments of the activity, reinforcing LO3.
As part of the Service component, students participated in a forest-cleaning initiative during the trail, collecting litter and contributing to environmental care. This experience strengthened their engagement with global and ecological issues (LO6) and encouraged them to reflect on the impact and ethics of their actions (LO7).
A brief visit to the botanical garden further enhanced their understanding of biodiversity and the importance of conserving natural habitats.
By the end of the day, students returned with renewed energy and deepened awareness—having meaningfully engaged with all CAS strands and achieved all seven CAS learning outcomes, while fostering teamwork, responsibility, reflection, and global citizenship.
