Visit to High Court (Class- VII & VIII) - 2026
The students of classes VII and VIII embarked on an enlightening educational field trip to the Highest Judicial Authority of Gujarat, the Honorable High Court of Gujarat in Ahmedabad on 3rd and 4th February, 2026 respectively. The visit offered a unique opportunity to witness live court proceedings, interact with judicial personnel, and gain insights into the functioning of India's legal framework. Students were thrilled by the immersive experience, which bridged classroom lessons on civics, law, and governance with practical observation.
Students witnessed live court hearings, arguing advocates and marveling at the judge's readiness to interact and the efficient resolution of cases. Different kinds of cases involving Civil and Criminal disputes were called upon and settled in mere fractions of seconds, showcasing the precision of judicial processes. The students got a rare opportunity of interacting with Honorable Justice, Gita Gopi, wherein the Honorable Judge engaged with them and posed certain simple yet important questions pertaining to the field of law.
The main attraction was witnessing court proceedings in the Honorable Division Bench Court of Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice D.N.Ray, which dealt with diverse cases including Public Interest Litigations, Education Related Cases and Letter Patent Appeals. All the courtrooms buzzed with focused energy, yet were enveloped in profound silence, overpowered by an aura of knowledge and authority.
An advocate graciously took the initiative to address students' doubts, answering queries on court procedures, responsibilities of a Judge, Habits adopted by the practicing advocates, Provisions of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), Difference between a filmy court and an actual court, Levels of Judiciary and legal ethics. The discussion was fruitful and enriching, clarifying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
Every student returned with a profound sense of pride in this Indian Judicial system and its systematic functioning. They appreciated the judiciary's role in upholding justice swiftly and fairly. The trip ignited interest in law as a career and reinforced values of discipline, patience and national pride.
