Trip to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur (Class VII & VIII) - 2023
The students of grade VII and VIII set off on their journey to Jaisalmer with their teachers. The excitement in the air was almost tangible. Non-stop chatter and laughter were heard from every compartment. After checking in at the hotel at noon, the students visited Gadisar Lake in the evening. They took pictures, shopped for souvenirs and watched a light and sound show.
The next day, the students visited the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli and Bada Bagh. Everyone was thrilled to learn the intricate history of these monuments. They also stopped at Kuldhara, a haunted village. All the students listened carefully to the legend for it was an uncommon one. At night, they had a cultural show and DJ at the Kabila Camp in Sam.
The next day was a visit to the war museum and the Longewala post. They also stopped at Tanot Mata. It is said Pakistan dropped more than 100 bombs there, but none exploded! In the evening, they had a desert safari with a bonfire before returning back to Kabila Camp. The next morning, the students rode on camels in the desert. They boarded the bus an hour later to start their long journey to Jodhpur. After 6 hours, they checked into Treehouse Amaara Resort.
The last day, they visited Mehrangarh, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan and Mandor before going to the railway station in the evening. At 8:45pm the students boarded the train to go to Ahmedabad, after a fun but tiring 6-day trip. Everyone took home memories that they would cherish forever.
