The second edition of JGMUN took place on 19^th and 20^th January, 2019. Early morning registrations were followed by the opening ceremony, attended by the Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma, Manager Administration and HR, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager Parent Relations and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. The conference was inaugurated by the Secretary General, Mr. Dhruv Sachchade followed by the initiation of the committees. The UNSC adopted the agenda of the situation in the South China Sea, UNGA-DISEC discussed the possibility of a Nuclear Free Zone in the Middle East. The Lok Sabha talked about laws pertaining to Economic Offenders. The Human Rights Council discussed the violation of human rights in occupied Arab territories, the International Press documented the event through photos and reports. The debate was paused at the end of day one and resumed next morning, continuing till the beginning of the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony’s Chief Guest was the Executive Director, Mr. MP Chandran accompanied by the Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma, Manager Administration and HR, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager Parent Relations and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. A brief vote of thanks was given through the speeches of the Convener, Mr. Maanay Dhingra and the Director General, Mr. Dhruv Srivastava. An entertaining Kathak performance was given by a student of JG College of Performing Arts. A short speech on the purpose of MUNs was given by the Executive Director, after which the conference was declared closed at the end of the Secretary General’s speech.
