It’s Sports Festival time
15th February, 2020 was a fun-filled day for the students of Pre-primary to class II as it was Sports festival in school. They participated in innovative races designed on the theme Olympics. The JG Olympics began with the students of Pre-primary, marching class wise and the students of Class I & II marching house wise to the beat of the drums, confidently swinging their arms. The leaders proudly holding the school flag and school logo with the mascot marching ahead. Satin ribbons swaying in breeze students performed a drill showcasing amazing coordination.
This was followed by the inauguration of JG Olympics by raising the flag and lighting of the torch by the Executive Director Mr. M P Chandran, escorted by the Principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, Manager HR & Administration, Ms. Rekha Anil and Parent Relation Officer Ms. Rema Nair.
The fantastic turnout from the parents, the pleasant weather were the perfect boosts for the students to engage in healthy competition, each one emerging as a winner. Sports Festival is the most awaited event in school. The name itself says about the festivity that we experience through games and races. The various games were Weightlifting, Archery, Gymnastic race, Canoe race, Assembling the Olympic rings to name a few. The proud winners of the races were felicitated with medals. The parents were not far behind, as they enthusiastically participated in the races organized for them.
It was a day well spent, basking in the warmth of the sun and witnessing the young champs run, jump, tumble, roll and hop!
