Annual Day - 2015
JG International School, Sola Road celebrated its 12th Annual Day dedicated to the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of ASIA Charitable Trust, on 12th December, 2015. Shri John Geevargese, Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust was the Chief Guest of the evening. Vice Chairman Mr. Jose John, Trustee and Executive Director Mr. M P Chandran, Secretary Mr. K P M Nair and President of ASIA, Mr. K L N Sastry graced the occasion.
The function started with the welcome address and the lighting of the lamp followed by the rendition of JG Anthem, introduction of the Chief Guest and the presentation of the School’s Annual Report by Principal Ms. Kavita Sharma.The highlight of the formal function was the felicitation of those young achievers who brought laurels to the school at National and International levels by their remarkable achievements in academics, literary activities and sports. Ophelia Fernandes was declared ‘ The Student of the Year ‘. The Teachers and support staff who completed five years and Ten years of service in JGIS were felicitated during this occasion.Mr. Kuldeep Gadhvi- Sports Co ordinator of JGIS was honoured with’ The Chairman’s Award for the Outstanding Contribution to School’. The formal session came to an end with the release of the ninth issue of the creative journal ‘ About Us ‘.
The theme of our cultural programme was ‘ Stone Age to Space Age’ which showcased the journey of man in all the stages of life from Primitive stage to the present stage in the form of dances, skits and Play. The programme culminated with a Fashion Show by the outgoing students of grade XII.
