Children of Sr.KG visited the Samruddh Dairy on 9^th January, 2024.

The purpose of visiting a dairy was to give the students an understanding of the process milk goes through before reaching homes. The process of testing, pasteurization, and its importance to the stage of bottling was made well understood by officials at Samruddh Dairy. Children saw the machinery used for various processes. They also saw how butter was made and the packaging of milk and curd. This was a very informative experience.

On the crisp morning of 6^th January, 2024, laughter and excitement filled the air at JG International School Ground as students, teachers, and esteemed guests gathered for a day of camaraderie and athletic prowess. The event was graced by the warm presence of our beloved Chairman, Dr. M P Chandran, the ever-inspiring Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, and Ms. Rema Nair, Manager of Parent Relations and Academics.

An interesting field trip was organized for the students of Class-I as a part of their POI unit ‘Animals’ on 5^th January, 2024.

The main objective was to have live experience of watching different types of animals and understand their characteristics. Students showed a great enthusiasm to observe various animals. Students could see animals in well protected enclosures whereas some were in an open area. Students were able to identify various types of animals according to their types.

Children of Jr.KG visited the Sabarmati Ashram on 4^th January, 2024.

Teaching children about ocean animals is very important as 75% of the earth’s surface is covered with the ocean. They can affect weather, food, temperature, and even our life as 70%-80% of oxygen is supplied by marine plants. The never-ending water body is filled with various aquatic animals that are interesting, unique, and mysterious. Although we have explored only five percent of the water bodies, we have discovered around 2,30,000 species. 

JG International School celebrated its 18th Annual Day Programme on 23^rd December, 2023. The event commenced with a soulful invocation seeking the blessings of the almighty, setting a harmonious tone for the evening. The programme unfolded with grandeur as Dr. Avni Shah, a distinguished academician, graced the occasion as the esteemed chief guest. The event was graced with the presence of the Chairman of JG International school, Dr. M.P. Chandran and the other members of the ACT.

A captivating field trip was arranged for class II students on 7^th November, 2023 to explore Kankaria Zoo as a part of their POI unit “Kinds of animals and their adaptations.”

JG International School witnessed an incredible Inter House One Act Play Competition which was held on 3^rd November, 2023. The judges for the competition were Ms. Ankita Dave, freelance communications trainer, proof reader, editor and writer, Mr Sudhir Kulkarni, an Executive Trainer and behavioural coach with 40 years of industry experience and Dr. Minnie Mattheew, the Principal at JG college of commerce and the Director of JG Institute of English and professional studies. The competition was graced by the Chairman, Dr. M P Chandran.

Debate competitions are an excellent platform for students to showcase their critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills. Such competitions are not only important for a student’s academic growth but also play a significant role in their personal development. It helps to boost their confidence and provides them with an opportunity to express their opinions and ideas in a structured and organized manner. With the same philosophy, JGIS also conducted an Inter House Debate Competition on Friday 27^th October 2023.

JG International School celebrated Navratri festival by organizing Garba night on 21^st October, 2023. The enthralling event began by offering prayers to the Goddess Shakti followed by a brief introduction about the significance of the festival ‘Navratri’. The event proceeded and Aarti was performed by our Honorable chairman, Dr. M P Chandran, the trustees, managing committee members and other dignitaries.
