JG International School celebrated the vibrant spirit of Navratri with enthusiasm on Saturday, 5th October 2024. The event kicked off with stunning decorations and traditional music, setting a festive atmosphere.
The celebration began with traditional Aarti, welcoming Goddess Durga and marking the significance of the occasion. Students, staff, and parents dressed in traditional attire, swayed to the rhythmic beats of folk music. The joyous energy filled the air, creating an electric atmosphere that united everyone in celebration.
Career guidance being crucial for students, JG International School had organized an insightful interactive session for students of classes IX and XII on 4th October, 2024. The session was conducted by Rao Consultants, Ahmedabad aimed at providing valuable insights into global education systems, potential career pathways, and the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
An insightful session on “Career Guidance” was conducted on 27th September, 2024 by JG University for class XII students, emphasizing the significance of career planning in shaping their future. The school aimed to provide students with clarity and direction, as they prepare to enter the next phase of their lives.
As part of the class curriculum, our Grade II students performed a skit titled "My City - Ahmedabad" on 26th September, 2024, captivating audiences and showcasing the rich heritage of our vibrant city.
The performance took the audience on a journey through Ahmedabad’s history, highlighting its founder, Sultan Ahmed Shah. The students illustrated how the city got its name from him and significant historical events that shaped its identity.
Pottery making is a fantastic activity for school children, as it nurtures creativity and develops hand-eye coordination. On 25th September, 2024 we had conducted a pottery making activity, wherein a potter was arranged in the school premises to give a live demonstration on using the potter’s wheel. This hands-on experience allowed the children to try their hand at making small pots and diyas, promoting a deeper understanding of the art form and its historical significance.
An Inter-House Hindi Recitation Competition took place on 20th September, 2024 featuring the talents of students from classes I to V. This competition divided into two categories—Junior (classes I and II) and Senior (classes III to V) served as a platform for students to express their creativity and delve into the depth of language.
On 20th September, 2024 we celebrated the vital contributions of professionals and community helpers through a Fancy Dress Show themed "Professionals - Pillars of Our Society" in the auditorium.
The event began with the student’s dynamic act, featuring robots. The highlight was the Senior KG students, who dazzled the audience in creative costumes. Parents put in tremendous effort, dressing their children as various professionals, including doctors, teachers, actors, and more, making the event even more special.
The Fancy Dress Show of Junior KG Kids, held on 19th September 2024, transformed our school into a magical realm. The students displayed their talents on the theme “Enchanting Stories and Fairy Tales”. It commenced with an engaging performance by the students act, featuring Robots.
The school auditorium buzzed with excitement as we held our Fancy Dress Show, themed “Colours of Joy” for Nursery little stars on 18th September, 2024. The event kicked off with a lively performance featuring a captivating act by students dressed as robots.
On 14th September, 2024, JG International School hosted TEDxYouth@JGIS, a platform that empowered young voices and inspiring leaders to share ground breaking ideas. The event featured a diverse line up of speakers from various fields, sparking dialogue on innovation, sustainability, and the intersection of technology with human experience.
An Inter-House English Debate Competition was organized for the students of Grades IX to XII centered on the theme “AI IS A THREAT TO EMPLOYMENT” on 13th September, 2024. The event provided a platform for the students to demonstrate their debating skills and their ability to articulate their thoughts and opinions effectively.
The Inter-House Tech Wiz Competition was held on Friday, 6th September, 2024 aiming to inspire the technological talents and creativity within our school community. The competition was divided into two categories, Junior (classes VI to VII) Script to Screen and Senior (classes IX to XII) Code Warriors.
The special celebration organized by the students of JG International School for their teachers on Thursday, 5th September 2024 was a memorable and heartfelt event. The day began with a morning assembly in the auditorium, where teachers and admin staff were warmly welcomed with handmade decorations and personalized tags. The Head Girl, Ms. Gurvi G Patel and Ms. Hirva P Raval both kicked off the event with humorous anecdotes.
In a remarkable fusion of education and theatre, the young actors of JG International School from classes VIII to XII showcased their impressive talents by bringing to life two of William Shakespeare’s timeless classics—Julius Caesar and The Merchant of Venice on 2nd September, 2024. These special performances are a part of the English Literature curriculum, aimed to deepen the students' literary engagement through the immersive experience of live performance.
