Dear ma’am,
I am writing to sincerely appreciate how the Cambridge IGCSE programme has changed my daughter’s approach to learning.
Honestly, before IGCSE, studying at home looked simple - Aani used to memorise everything, learn definitions, write it in the exam, move on and forget it. It worked, to some extent. But deep down, something felt off. As a parent, I constantly questioned myself - is my child actually learning anything or just doing it for exams?
Then came Year 9. I still remember when she looked at the syllabus and paper patterns for the first time and got so overwhelmed. She was nervous, confused and unfamiliar. But looking back now, I feel that discomfort was the beginning of real growth.
Slowly, things started to click. Cambridge made her realise that learning isn’t about how much you can memorise, but how much you can deeply understand. Especially in sciences, I saw that she actually started understanding why and how a phenomena occurs. As a parent, that felt absolutely incredible to witness. That shift inspired her to go beyond her textbooks, explore and think independently, and develop a genuine curiosity for learning.
Here comes my favourite part. I never expected Business to become her favourite subject, but here we are. What I love about it is how real it feels. She is not only reading about businesses and what they sell but thinking about the decisions a business should make, why they should do so and form her own recommendations. It has developed her thinking ability and now I find her noticing and questioning businesses and their decisions in our daily life, which she had never paid attention to.
Moreover, learning Cambridge IGCSE, she is not only reading about science experiments but performing them in real life. She is thinking, applying her logic and evaluating things.
As a mother, I can say Cambridge IGCSE has given my daughter something so valuable - the ability to develop thinking skills, question and understand, and I am truly grateful for it.
Thank you so much.
