Class VIII students from both the boards  ICSE and Checkpoint , nearly thirty in number , accompanied by three teachers went for a week-long excursion to Dalhousie and Amritsar on Jan6, 2020

JG International School organized their Annual Sports Day on 4^th January, 2020 with great enthusiasm and excitement. Around 300 students from class III to XII participated in various races like 50mtrs flat race, 100mtrs, 200mtrs and relay for the final day events. The highlight of the day was the School Relay and teachers’ games. The Executive Director, Mr. M.P. Chandran, Principal, Dr.Kavita Sharma and the Parents were invited to witness the event and cheer the children.

JGIS celebrated its 16^th Annual Day on 23^rd December, 2019. Ms. Preetha Sunil, the Assistant Commissioner of AMC (a JGIS parent), was the Chief Guest. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust, Dr. John Geeverghese, President, and the Executive Director Mr. M.P. Chandran.

The third edition of JGMUN was met with gusto by everyone. The day started off with registrations, followed shortly by the opening ceremony and the lighting of the lamp to mark the auspicious occasion. Our Principal addressed all those attending the conference with a short yet sweet speech. The conference was then declared open with the thud of a gavel by the Secretary General, Mr. Ujjwal Agrawal.

Class l Mars got an opportunity to showcase their class presentation on “Humanity”. Children developed many skills through this presentation. The message passed on to the audience was “we are born as human beings but being human is our choice”.

Class Nursery went to the Traffic Park on Friday 18/10/2019.It was related to their theme Transport and the field trip helped to reinforce and connect the concept done in the class with the surrounding.

Children of Jr. KG Rose and Sunflower went to Kankaria Aquarium on Wednesday 16/10/2019. The Field Trip was related to their theme Sea Creatures. Children were amused seeing different types of fishes, their colours and sizes. They could name the different parts of the body of fishes. Some could even remember the names of different fishes. After visiting the aquarium, children also walked around the lake, made small observations of the surrounding and conversed with one another using good vocabulary.

JG International School celebrated Navratri festival by organizing – ‘Shubh Navratri’ Garba night on 5^th October, 2019. The auspicious event began with offering prayers to Goddess Shakti and performing Aarti by our Honourable chairman ,  Shri. John Geevargese and Executive Director Mr. M.P.Chandran.  The trustees and other managing committee members too graced the occasion. Our Chairman ,  Shri. John Geevargese initiated a thought of minimizing the use of plastic and what steps school is taking towards this initiative.

Students of CAS Club, along with IBDP- I, organized  a month long collection drive in the school in August, 2019 and collected old clothes, footwear and toys as a part of the club activity. The objective of this drive is to sensitize the students towards the needy and underprivileged section of the society and to give back to the society by contributing their bit.

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love.

To shower love and respect towards the grandparents, the Pre Primary celebrated ‘Grandparents Day’ on 25/09/2019 in the school auditorium.

A Photo Booth was put up in the auditorium. Grandparents had lovely time, getting clicked using different props kept there.
