The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at JG International School is a rigorous, internationally benchmarked two-year curriculum for students aged 16 to 19. Designed by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the programme fosters academic depth, intercultural understanding, and global-mindedness.

First introduced in 1968, the IBDP is now recognized by leading universities in over 150 countries, making it the most widely respected pre-university qualification for higher education.

Students study six subjects across different disciplines, with three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). The programme also includes the IB Core components that are central to the IBDP philosophy.

Subject Groups:

Group 1: Studies in Language and Literature (English Language & Lit)

Group 2: Language Acquisition (French, Hindi)

Group 3: Individuals and Societies (Business Management, Economics, Psychology, Environmental Systems and Societies)

Group 4: Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Environmental Systems and Societies)

Group 5: Mathematics (Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches, Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation)

Group 6: The Arts (Visual Arts) or an additional subject from Groups 1–4

The Core Components:

Extended Essay (EE): Independent, self-directed research culminating in a 4,000-word academic paper

Theory of Knowledge (TOK): A course that challenges students to reflect on the nature and acquisition of knowledge

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS): A balanced portfolio of experiences that encourage personal growth and civic engagement
