JG INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Great ideas inspire change, but true transformation happens in the journey between where we are and where we aspire to be.

JG International School successfully hosted the eighth edition of TEDxJGIS Youth on 10th October, 2026 bringing together inspiring minds, powerful ideas, and thought-provoking conversations. Centred on the theme “The Space In Between — Where Growth Actually Happens,” the event encouraged the audience to recognise that growth is not merely about beginnings or achievements, but about the challenges, uncertainties, perseverance, and discoveries that shape the journey.

The event featured five distinguished speakers from diverse professional backgrounds, each offering a unique perspective on personal and societal transformation.

Dr. Prerna Singh, a disaster resilience expert, delivered an insightful talk titled “Beyond Bouncing Back: What Disasters Teach Us About Resilience,” highlighting the importance of rebuilding stronger communities in the face of adversity.

Mr. Abhinav Singh Kaurav, a technology professional and accomplished singer-songwriter, shared his inspiring journey through “Jack of All Trades, Master of Some,” challenging conventional notions of success and encouraging young minds to embrace multiple passions.

Dr. Sudipti Arora, an environmental scientist, inventor, and sustainability advocate, demonstrated how scientific innovation, determination, and community engagement can create meaningful environmental change.

Ms. Uma Oza, an eminent educationist and human development expert, brought valuable insights into empathy, conscious leadership, communication, and personal growth.

Mr. Sapan Joshi, a renowned mentalist and illusionist, captivated the audience with “Hours Behind Seconds,” revealing the extraordinary preparation, discipline, and dedication behind moments that appear effortless.

Adding vibrancy to the intellectual experience were captivating performances by the JGIS School Band, a musical mashup by student Naisha Joshi, and an energetic Kalbeliya folk dance presented by Grade XI students.

The event concluded with an engaging Open House session, allowing the audience to interact directly with the speakers, ask questions, and explore the ideas presented throughout the evening.

A remarkable feature of TEDxJGIS Youth was the active involvement of the student organising committee, whose dedication, creativity, teamwork, and professionalism played an integral role in the event’s success. The experience provided students with invaluable opportunities to develop leadership, communication, collaboration, and event-management skills.

It reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing independent thinkers, confident communicators, and responsible global citizens. The event left everyone with a powerful reminder: growth does not happen only at the destination; it happens in the space in between.
