The students of Sr. KG visited the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) on 23rd September, 2026 as part of their theme-based learning on “Our Universe.” The visit was thoughtfully planned to provide children with first-hand exposure and experiential learning, extending their understanding beyond the classroom.
During the visit, the students explored rockets, satellites, spacecraft, solar system and fascinating space-related models and equipment. They gained a basic understanding of ISRO’s contribution to space exploration and learnt how rockets are launched and how satellites assist in communication, weather observation, navigation and studying our planets. The field trip brought “Our Universe” theme to life, enabling children to connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences. It nurtured their curiosity, observation skills, imagination, and spirit of inquiry. The students participated with great enthusiasm and returned with new insights, enriching experiences and a deeper fascination for the vast and wonderful universe around us.
